Christmas Blessings

We had a wonderful Christmas and were so blessed! Chayse had a blast and Santa brought her so many wonderful gifts. As you can see she LOVES her new red mustang and I must say it fits her to the T.

Giving Kennedi a ride while Carson follows close behind in his gator!

Wednesday night we left cookies and milk for Santa (and Mrs. Claus)

Coming down the stairs Christmas morning.

The cookies are GONE!

And Santa left his feet print! The first thing Chayse said was "Daddy, we gotta clean that up!" She did not like opening her gifts with a mess on the floor! LOL she told her Da several times to "go wipe that up!"

Thank you Santa!

Not a creature stirring....

Right now it is soooo peaceful in this house! Chayse has been OUT for over two hours... she will wake any min, John is napping in the bed, and Silver is asleep in the sunlight next to the window! But with all the things that will happen within the next few days .... we need sleep!
  • Church tonight
  • Then the Whitley's annual get together
  • We HOPE Santa makes his way to our house tomorrow morning!
  • Off to Gran Gran's house, we heard Santa visits there too!
  • Then Friday to Nana and Papa's ---

so yes we will all be WIPED on Saturday! But I will have plenty of pics on Sunday and I'm sure a few stories to tell!

Merry Christmas to ALL and God Bless you and your families!

Holiday Fun

Whew this has been a busy weekend! Friday night we took Chayse and her cousin Carson to the Trail of Lights and it was fun! We walked and walked and walked. Carson said "We walked all the way to the North Pole!" LOL but we had the kids in a wagon and that pretty much saved the day!

Then on Saturday we visited a Live Nativity Scene at a local church and Chayse petted all the animals - she loves animals!
And we just got home from visiting SANTA! It was the fourth time for us to see him and Chayse really warmed up and by the end of the evening actually liked him. She even gave him a hug and kiss and said "I'll see you Thursday!" She wrote a letter to him and had a blast!

Now if the weather will just decide what it is going to do... we have been from heat to A/C several times this week!

Christmas Outings

I mentioned in my annual holiday letter that I was going to try really hard to keep all of our outings and pics updated on here..... well I have not posted since Thanksgiving..... So I am going to try to catch up for the last two weeks.

Last weekend was Santa. Chasye does not really like Santa - LOL she likes to talk about him and see him, but she does not like to get close. During our second attempt at the mall last Sat. her and "Da" (aka Daddy) went up to him and they chatted and she told him she wanted tractors. but as you can see from the pics she was not nearly about to sit with him. Maybe next year!

This morning we had her Christmas show with Kinder dance. When we got there she was really clingy and I thought "there is no way she is gonna go up in front of all these people" BUT then Seline her little friend showed up and she was so excited to see her! Chayse was quite a ham! She LOVES attention and at age 2 they are pretty funny to watch so as everyone was laughing and clapping, Chayse was really smiling and "dancing" she didn't want to come off the "stage." It was so much fun to watch her! John videoed the whole thing and I cant wait to watch it!

Next weekend we have plans to go to the Trail of Lights and really hope to take Carson! Check back with us for more pics!

Gobble Gobble

Chayse is having a turkey trot at school next week and each child is asked to make a turkey(to trot with). She brought home a paper plate and a note that said "be creative and make a turkey" - SO the past two night we have been busy on the turkey!
Here is the final product! - And she loves to say GOBBLE GOBBLE when she holds it!

Family Pictures

This weekend we took family pictures. Lets just say with three kids and six adults it was HARD but the lady that took them was great and was VERY patient! We didn't get a ton of great shots, but we had a good time and we tried! (I posted my fav on the top of the blog) The downside on all this, since we didn't get a good shot for a Christmas card.... we will have to try again! Hopefully we can get something????

Here are a few others I liked!

Trick or Treat

Carson and Chayse had a BLAST going trick or treating. Chayse was a giraffe and Carson was a John Deere tractor and Kennedi was an adorable butterfly. John and I actually MADE the John Deere and I think Carson was very pleased with the results. He had told Melanie that he wanted to be a bull dozer and after a tad of "googling" I figured out that a tractor would be pretty easy and it was. - Melanie admitted that she was a tad skeptical (and so was I) but it turned out to be a HUGE hit!

This is Chayse and her BEST friend, Andrew, at their "school" party!
Carson the tractor!

They had a PJ party at school!

Carving Punkins

Chayse is OBSESSED with "punkins" right now. Yesterday we carved the punkin! And while we were doing it I was baking punkin bread! Here are a few pics of us getting ready for Halloween:

Mommy and Chayse cleaning out the punkin.

Chayse and her Daddy carving out the face.

All finished!

P.S. Chayse can't wait to be a giraffe tomorrow, we have been working on saying "trick or treat!"

WILD weekend

This weekend just FLEW by...

On Friday John and I both took off half a day and went to "The Ranch" where my parents live and helped with a bus load of visitors. My mom had invited a string of her friends that were traveling through, and while they were there, they fished and visited all the animals While they were visting Chayse entertained and by the time they left had several people wrapped around her finger - nothing new!

Then on Saturday we went to San Antonio to my sisters house and took all the kids to Sea World. Chayse has a blast everytime she sees her 3 yr old cousin Carson and 9 month old Kennedi. We spent the night, then came home today and John and I are WIPED. As I type Chasye has already gone to bed - two days with no nap does not equal a happy 2 year old.

We have so many things going on this week, Halloween is Friday, we still have to carve a pumpkin, and of course trick or treating! Hopefully I can get some pics up this week - if I can figure out how to do it! LOL

Getting Started

Well, I just seem to be getting started with this whole blog thing. John has been telling me for a while that I should write a book, but I really don't have much patience for that sort of thing so maybe I can just share some things on here. To give a tad of a back story, John and I have been married for 5 1/2 years and have a two year old daughter named Chayse. I work with other deaf people in vocational rehab, basically helping them be successful in employment. John works as a pipefitter with a small company that is part of a union and is contracted by bigger companies to do construction. Chayse goes to preschool and is truely a "happy camper."
Stay with me and I am going to try to get this thing rolling and keep you guys updated on our lives.
